Bukit Gasing On A Weekday

Today, I hauled my daughter to accompany me to Bukit Gasing. With a week off school for the term break, I wanted her to spend more Mommy time with me as she has always been the busy one. Always having numerous activities in school.  Besides she was the only one available today.  There really weren't many trekkers up there this morning as it was Monday. I think we came across a little over 10  trekkers.

Here's my daughter at the beginning of the trail. Okay, this time I took 3-ish breaks while she disappeared way, way ahead of me at the steps.

She went up the Lookout Tower. This time I didn't as I went up the last time I was there

This time I noticed the mushrooms

Today, I realized that the hairy 'branch' I saw last week was actually  vines that  just crept  all over the jungle.

Hash Harrier markers. As usual there were lots of these from different clubs. 

I was happy or pretending to be.  This time we had to double back as we seemed to be the only ones on that  trail and seemed to be getting deeper and deeper into the jungle. So I was relieved.  But extremely tired. I didn't bring my back pack and so we didn't bring our water bottles.  Not a wise thing to do after more that an our of trekking.  We came across two little abandoned houses in the middle of the jungle. We wondered who would actually build houses up there and how on earth did they haul all the building material there.

Of course she was happier and perkier then me. Half the time she didn't hear me  calling out, "Fadeela...wait,, Fadeela...wait...,!"  She kept leaving me behind till I couldn't see her ahead of me.  Well, I am 3X older....

What a relief when we finally got back to civilization.!
